- Market Survey for a Sniper Weapon Tripod - W15QKN-10-X-0450 The U.S. Army, Joint Munitions & Lethality Contracting Center, on behalf of the U.S. Army ARDEC, Small Arms Technology Branch, Picatinny Arsenal, NJ is conducting a market survey to identify potential sources for a Sniper Weapon Tripod (SWT). The tripod will be utilized with the following weapons: M110 Semi-Automatic Sniper System (SASS) and M24 Sniper Weapon System (SWS). The weapon tripod must be rugged and adjustable in height preferably from sitting to standing position with a minimum height adjustable range of 34 +/- 5 to 70 +/- 5 inches. The SWT must support the weight of each of the identified weapon systems or a total maximum balanced load of 20 pounds and it must survive in operational military environments in accordance with MIL-STD-810. The weapon tripod head must allow interfacing with MIL-STD-1913 Rail and must also be provided with an additional shooting platform attachment that will allow the weapon systems to rest upon a saddle or a horseshoe shaped padded base mount. The weapon tripod head must allow for a 360 degree rotation. The weapon tripod must be able to support the weapon systems without additional support to the weapon. The weapon tripod must be a Non Developmental Item (NDI) or a Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) item. Primary interest is in a weapon tripod that requires no modification to each weapons configuration. However, information for tripods that require minimal modification may also be provided. Firms/companies are invited to describe their tripods by providing specifications, brochures, manuals, reports, demonstration video and other technical data as well as identification of current customers. Pricing data should also be sent, if available and at no cost to the US Government. Interested companies are requested to submit a capabilities statement of 2-5 pages via e-mail by 08 April 2010, no later than 2:00PM EST.
