- Description
- The U.S. Army RDECOM Contracting Center, Natick Contracting Division, Natick, MA in support of the Joint Program Executive Office-Chemical and Biological Defense, Joint Project Manager for Decontamination (JPM-DC), Program Manager Joint Service Transportable Decontamination System Small Scale (JSTDS-SS) has a need to identify light weight decontamination systems capable of conducting operational decontamination missions and supporting thorough decontamination missions. System must be capable of applying water and hot soapy water and the applicator modules must weigh less than 400 lbs or be modular systems with each major component meeting Military Standard (MIL-STD) 1472F lift capacity requirements for a four (4) person lift with a total combined system weight of less than 600 lbs. The Government anticipates releasing a Draft Request for Proposal (RFP) on or about April 30, 2010 and an Industry Day is planned for May 2010 in Stafford, VA. A Final RFP is scheduled to be released on or about June 25, 2010 and it is anticipated that the RFP will be open for thirty (30) days. Source Selection will include a paper down-select as well as a Vendor Demonstration scheduled for August 2010. It is anticipated that the RFP will result in a multiple-award, Firm-Fixed-Price Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity Contract; however, the Government reserves the right to change type of contract, if any, awarded. The scope-of-work under any contract awarded will include contract award with test and production Contract Line Item Numbers (CLINs) for 5 to 5,000 systems. The Government anticipates that this procurement will be full and open competition with small business subcontracting requirements; however, the Government reserves the right to change the solicitation procedure.
