- RECOVERY – RECREATION RENTAL UPGRADES – MALHEUR NATIONAL FOREST THIS IS AN AMERICAN RECOVERY AND REINVESTMENT ACT OF 2009 (ARRA) PROCUREMENT The purpose of this announcement is to make notice that the Forest Service contemplates releasing a solicitation numbered AG-0489-S-10-0407 on or about March 31, 2010, for the RECREATION RENTAL UPGRADES Project on the Malheur National Forest. If the solicitation is released, it will be released through this FedBizOpps website, and prospective bidders should visit this FedBizOpps website from time to time on or after March 31, 2010, to obtain a copy of the solicitation. This notice meets the requirements of FAR 5.201. However, the Forest Service reserves the right not to release a solicitation. PROJECT DESCRIPTION. The U.S. Forest Service, EROC-NW, servicing Region 6 has a requirement for the RECREATION RENTAL UPGRADES Project on the Malheur National Forest. The project is for interior and exterior renovation of recreation cabins and a lookout. Work includes door and window installation, exterior siding and trim, foundation work, accessibility ramps, fences, roofing, flooring, partitioning, cabinets, propane lights and heaters, and plumbing. Option Items are included for additional sites and for additional work at base item sites. The performance period is 120 calendar days after award. The magnitude of construction including option items for this acquisition is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. The Government intends to award a negotiated firm fixed price contract with option items. A 20% bid guarantee is required from all offerors. The awarded contractor is required to provide 100% Performance and Payment Bonds. PARTICIPATION. This project is to be issued on a full and open competition bassis. The North American Classification System Code (NAICS) is 236118. The size standard is $33.5 Million. REGISTRATIONS.
