Description
Notice of Sources Sought/Request for Information (RFI). There is no solicitation at this time. Requests for a solicitation will not receive a response. This Sources Sought is in support of a market survey being conducted by White Sands Missile Range(WSMR), NM to determine potential small business sources technically capable and qualified to furnish a nuclear lead shield for use with a Particle accelerator that routinely produces high levels of X-Ray particles from its' Klystron. The LINAC is a complex piece of machinery that requires personnel to manually adjust various controls in the area of the Klystron. The information and capabilities submitted will be used to prepare a prospective offerors list. Any information submitted to this RFI is strictly voluntary. The government will not pay for any information that is submitted by respondents to this Sources Sought RFI. The government requests interested offerors submit a profile of their qualifications that is normally provided to the general public. The Government will in no way be bound to this information if a solicitation is issued. Should funding be made available for this potential requirement, a Request for Proposal (RFP) will be posted on this website. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for the potential acquisition is 332313. Any responses to this notice expressing interest in being considered for this proposed contract should include the following: Company Name, Point of Contract, Address, Telephone and Fax numbers, E-mail address, business size, DUNS number, Cage Code, Tax ID Number, and company capabilities. Also include a list of prior contract awards, dollar value(s), and brief description of work previously, or currently being performed that specifically demonstrates the contractors ability to successfully satisfy the requirement of the Survivability, Vulnerability, and Assessment Directorate. All offerors who provide goods or services to the Department of Defense (DOD) must be registered in Central Contractor Registration (CCR). Shall a solicitation transpire from this SS/RFI, the following FAR Clause will apply: FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items.
