Description
THIS ACQUISITION WILL BE 100% SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE. THIS WILL BE A 2 YEAR FIRM-FIXED PRICE CONTRACT WITH A BASIC AND ONE ANNUAL OPTION PERIOD FOR THE FOLLOWING ITEMS: NSN 6610-01-074-2819LG, P/N 43932-052; NOUN: ALTIMETER, PRESSURE, BASIC QTY: 27 NSN 6610-01-543-8567LG, P/N 570-23932-012; NOUN: ALTIMETER, PRESSURE, BASIC QTY: 9 This Altimeter is a commercial off the shelf item and is currently used to support the C-130 aircraft platform. The Altimeter was manufactured by Kollsman Avionics. This altimeter is a critical application item that is essential to the government's weapon system performance and operation. On this commercial item, the Government does NOT own the data or the rights to the data needed to contract repair of these parts from additional sources. All potential offerors must have FAA certification and DOD certification as a repair and overhaul facility. The repair assembly must meet all operational requirements currently in place for the Max Allowable Pressure Altimeter (as currently provided by Kollsman). A first article will NOT be required but the vendor has to submit acceptance test requirements for each repair. All prospective contractors must be registered in the Contractor Registration (CCR) database in order to be eligible for award. Information concerning CCR registration requirements may be viewed via the Internet at http://www.ccr.gov or by calling the CCR Registration Center at 1-888-227-2423. Offerors shall prepare their quotations in accordance with mandatory, explicit and detailed instructions contained in the RFQ. The Government will evaluate past performance utilizing the Past Performance Information Retrieval System (PPIRS). Issuance of the solicitation will be on or about 12 April 2010 and will close on or about 17 May 2010. The solicitation will be posted electronically to the Federal Business Opportunities website only. NO HARD COPIES will be sent. Once the solicitation is posted, it is incumbent upon the interested parties to review the site frequently for any updates/amendments to any and all documents.
