- DESCRIPTION Recovery The work of this project is to improve the performance, both energetically and occupant's thermal comforts, of the current HVAC systems in three (3) buildings located in Crater Lake National Park, Oregon. Work includes air flow and heat transfer calculations, design and installation of user-adjustable dampers on the existing supply registers/grilles (or replace existing ones as necessary),installation of by-pass ducts to enhance airflow and balancing of systems, installation of balancing dampers at each branch, testing ports and pressure gauges to allow duct testing and balancing of system, remove existing central control systems and replace with new DDC with graphic interface, replace existing sensors and install additional temperature sensors at more strategic locations in each zone to better control the HVAC operation, replace outside air and exhaust air actuated dampers, all electrical connections necessary for a complete and functioning system, provide testing and balancing of systems, training, update the existing Operation & Maintenance Manuals to reflect changed conditions and operations and incidental related work. The project range is estimated to be between $100,000 and $250,000. Project completion is required by October 31, 2010. A site tour will be held at 9:00am on April 6, 2010. Interested parties should meet the Project Manager at the Crater Lake National Park Administration Building located at park headquarters four miles north of State Highway 62 for escort to the job sites. The Request for Proposal (RFP) will be available on/about April 1, 2010 by electronic means only and can be downloaded along with all related attachments from the FedBizOpps site at http://www.fbo.gov or directly from the Department of Interior website at http://ideasec.nbc.gov. The RFP will close 30 days from the actual date of issuance. The Contractor is responsible for periodically checking the website for any Amendments that may be issued prior to the closing date. Note: This project will be funded through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA) and upon award, the contractor must meet all reporting requirements as described in FAR 52.204-11 American Recovery and Reinvestment Act- Reporting Requirements (MAR 2010DEVIATION). TAS: 140/11035.10 This acquisition is being solicited as Unrestricted (Full and Open Competition) under the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program Act of 1988 (Title VII, Public Law 100-656).
