Description
AMERICAN RECOVERY and REINVESTMENT ACT PROJECT CAMP BRANCH CREEK WATERSHED SITE 8, DALE COUNTY, ALABAMA RECOVERY: USDA-Natural Resources Conservation Service(NRCS) is announcing a project under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. NRCS is contracting for repairs to Camp Branch Watershed Site 8, Dale County, Alabama. The work includes the furnishing of all labor, transportation, materials, equipment and incidentals required in constructing a pipe drop structure along with associated appurtenances to eliminate a gully headcut that is contributing a significant amount of sediment to the Little Choctawhatchee River drainage system. Construction activities will temporarily disturb less than one acre. Sediment and erosion control BMP’s will be incorporated in the construction contract to minimize sediment runoff during construction. Immediately after construction, the disturbed areas will be mulched and vegetated. The major items of work consist of shaping a gully, installing a 48 inch diameter concrete manhole drop structure, a 60 inch diameter concrete stilling well, 8 and 30 inch diameter plastic pipes, a 30 inch diameter road culvert, riprap flumes and other rock structures, and associated structures. The soils at this site are sands or loamy sands (SM, SC). A Site showing will be held at 10:00 am April 15, 2010. Participants should assemble at the USDA-NRCS office located at: 202 S. Highway 123, Suite E Ozark, Alabama 36360-2801. This requirement is being sponsored by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA). As a result, special contract clauses and additional procedures will apply to the final contract award. Range: $25,000.00 to $100,000.00 It is anticipated that this solicitation will be posted on or about April 05, 2010. All responsible offers will be considered by the agency.
