Description
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Philadelphia District, intends to award a firm fixed price purchase order for the overhaul of ALCO model 251-C marine engine cylinder heads. It is the Governments intention to have a total of fifty (50) heads overhauled. The contractor shall be responsible for furnishing all necessary labor, material, services and equipment. All work shall be in accordance with the requirements as outlined herein and with ALCO specifications MI-11020G, DRP-12200N, DRP 12400H, and EB 11020, as well as those outlined in the attached requirement.. The total performance period for this procurement will be approximately sixty (60) calendar days from date of award. The acquisition will be solicited using the procurement process prescribed in Part 12, Commercial Items, of the Federal Acquisition Regulations. Solicitation documents, plans and specifications will only be available via the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) homepage located at https://www.fbo.gov/. Registration for plans and specs should be made via FBO Internet homepage. Hardcopies will not be available. It is the contractors responsibility to monitor FBO for any amendments. Also, contractors who receive a federal contract of $25,000.00 or more are required by legislation to submit an annual VETS-100 Report on your employment of targeted veterans. Information on submitting your report may be obtained by calling 703-461-2460 or by accessing the following Internet web site: http://vets.dol.gov/vets100/. All contractors must be registered in the DODs Central Contractor Registration (CCR) system at http://www.ccr.gov. Information on getting registered may be obtained by phoning 1-888-227-2423 or on the website. Solicitation Number W912BU-10-T-0012 will be issued on or about Monday, 28 December 2009 with quotes due on or about Tuesday, 19 January 2010. Written and faxed quote submissions will be accepted. Quotes can be sent to ATTN: Mr. James M. Jackson, The Wanamaker Building 100 Penn Square East, Philadelphia PA 19107-3396, Faxed to 215-656-6798, or emailed directly to james.m.jackson2@us.army.mil. All contractors are required to be registered in the DOD Central Contract Register (CCR) before award as required by DFARS 204.7300. This procurement is set aside for small business.
