- This is a request for information only, as part of a market research study. There is no solicitation package available. The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst is seeking sources that may be capable of producing the OAMCM Adapter Cable in accordance with a “Build-To-Print” Level III drawing package. The OAMCM Adapter Cable is a specialized electrical Y cable with connectors used in a Navy helicopter. The salient characteristics are as follows: A 12” long electrical Y cable (CEC-RWC-18664), EMI braided shield, three (3) electrical connectors (MIL-38999, DB 15 Female, and DB 9 Female), one (1) EMI capping connector (DB 9 Male). The requirement would be for a total estimated production quantity of fifty (50) each, spread out in five (5) years. The unit shall meet the existing OAMCM Adapter Cable drawings and specifications. Due to the costly and time-consuming testing that would be required, the Government will not be entertaining alternate systems in order to satisfy this need. Only the “Build-To-Print” system is being considered for procurement. The Government is looking for potential sources for this requirement.
