Description
*** NOTICE *** This is not an independent action. This action will result in a TASK ORDER awareded simultaneously with the "MACPIE"" IDIQ: solicitation number RFP-CMS-2010-0025. Project Title: Medicaid EHR Incentive Program - Technical Assistance The scope of services requested in this Statement of Work (SOW) encompasses the review, analysis, training, and technical assistance related to Planning and initial Implementation activities to enable State Medicaid Agencies (SMAs) to make incentive payments to providers which could begin as early as mid to late Calendar Year (CY) 2010. The first year deliverables from this SOW will focus mainly on State planning and some initial implementation activities. A description of State implementation activities will be contained in the State Medicaid Health Information Technology Plan (SMHPs), a deliverable that States will submit to CMS for review and approval, prior to States initiating implementation activities. The SMHP will be used to fully implement the provision of Section 4201. The SMHPs will provide a detailed description of the activities State Medicaid agencies will undertake that will result in the implementation of the incentive payment to providers. A description of the SMHP can be found in the State Medicaid Director's Letter, published on September 1, 2009. The letter and enclosures provide background information related to the deliverables described in this SOW and can be found at this site: http://www.cms.hhs.gov/Recovery/11_HealthIT.asp#TopOfPage
