- THIS IS A NOTICE OF CONTRACT ACTION (NOCA); THIS IS NOT A SOCLICITATION FOR PROPOSALS AND NO CONTRACT WILL BE AWARDED FROM THIS SYNOPSIS. NO REIMBURSEMENT WILL BE MADE FOR ANY COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH PROVIDING INFORMATION IN REPONSE TO THIS SYNOPSIS OR ANY FOLLOW-UP INFORMATION REQUESTS. THE PRUPOSE OF THIS SYNOPSIS IS TO NOTIFY INDUSTRY OF THE USAF INTENT OF CONTRACT ACTION AND POSSIBLY GAIN KNOWLEDGE OF OTHER POTENTIALLY QUALIFIED SOURCES AND THEIR SIZE CLASSIFICATIONS (SMALL BUSINESS, LARGE BUSINESS, ETC.) PLEASE DO NOT REQUEST A COPY OF A SOLICITATION, AS ONE DOES NOT EXIST. SUBJECT: NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE PROCUREMENT FOR SPIN CHUTE ASSEMBLY INSPECTION AND REPACK. DESCRIPTION: INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE PROCUREMENT WITH AIRBORNE SYSTEMS NORTH AMERICA OF CA, INC. The Air Force, Edwards Air Force Base, CA intends to award a Sole Source purchase order to Airborne Systems North America of CA, Inc. The Sole Source purchase will be for Spin Chute assembly inspection and repack. Please note that this is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all interested parties who believe they can meet the requirements are invited to submit, in writing, complete information describing their ability to provide the following: 1)Perform incoming tear-down and full inspection of assembly. 2)Perform condition assessment by the Rigging team, and where necessary, by Engineering team. 3)Repair any minor damage at contractor's discretion. All damage will be noted and reported to the 416 FLTS POC along with a disposition recommendation and/or price to complete the repair. 4)Complete Rigging and re-packing of the Spin Chute assembly. 5)Complete acceptance testing (if applicable), and Certificate of Conformance. 6)Packaging for shipment, using the incoming shipping container. 7)System will be delivered/shipped by mail to and from the contractor's facility. The turn-around time from receipt of Spin Chute at the contractor's facility shall be no more than 28 days with the option of a shorter turn-around time upon arrangement. Information received as a result of this notice will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Air Force not to open the requirement to open competition, based on response to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Air Force. If the office has not received any affirmative written responses by 9:00 a.m. on April 2, 2010, a Sole Source purchase order will be pursued with Airborne Systems North America of CA, Inc.
