Description
RECOVERY - AMERICAN RECOVERY AND RE-INVESTMENT ACT (ARRA). THE NATIONAL PARK SERVICE (NPS) Northeast Region intends to purchase sustainable ADA compliant walkways for multiple beach centers. Product characteristics are as follows: ADA compliant. Width of the walkway is to be a minimum of 5 foot wide and no greater than 6 foot wide. The walkway shall be a portable and removable rollout access pathway. The walkway is to be a light-weight access matting system. Lengths of the mats are to be lengths that require only two people to carry, rollout out and install, or roll-up and remove. Lengths are to be a minimum of 25 feet long. Mats shall be easily connected to each other, and with an anchoring system that keeps the mat from shifting. Walkway shall be designed for use by barefoot park visitors, disable persons, wheelchairs, strollers, and for maintenance and emergency vehicles. Mats are to have great traction and be puncture resistant.Walkways shall be designed for either permanent or temporary installation; and shall be able to be installed on multiple ground surfaces (i.e. sand, gravel, grass). Walkways are to be durable and for outdoor marine use. Walkways will be used for beach access. The walkway shall require little to no maintenance.Walkways are to be either a blue, brown, or gray in color. Equal to Deschamps Mats Systems (DMS), Inc. Mobi-Mat. This project will be completed at the Sandy Hook Unit of Gateway National Recreation Area, Fort Hancock, and Monmouth County, New Jersey 07732. This acquisition is subject to the North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) code of 326199, Product Supply Code (PSC) of Z291.
