Description
The National Park Service intends to award a contract for a geophysical survey and archeological site assessment at the Elisabeth Cady Stanton House located at 32 Washington St, Seneca Falls, NY. Elisabeth Cady Stanton was one of the organizers of the 1848 Seneca Falls First Women's Rights Convention. There are three parts to this solicitation. The base contract will be for the geophysical survey and must include use of ground penetraing radar, magnetometry and electromagnetic conductivity. Results will be depicted in GIS over the project area base map to be provided by the National Park Service. Additional layers will be created by the successful offeror to show the locations of historic structures and areas of past excavation. Options 1 and 2 are for archeological testing and must include testing of potential 19th Centruy garden features and outbuilding sites to acquire basic data on structure and content, and completing specialized analyses on plant macrofossils and pollen. This project is not set aside for small business. The magnitude of the project for the base plus both options is between $100,000 and $500,000. Pending availability of funds, the government intends to award the entire project. The contract specialist, Barbara Murphy, can be reached by email at barbara_murphy@nps.gov. Please submit any questions by email. Telephone calls will not be accepted. Offers must be submitted to Barbara Murphy at Independence National Historical Park, 143 S. 3rd Street, Philadelphia, PA 19106 by due date listed in solicitation. Offers should not be sent to the Seneca Falls address. Solicitation with its attachments can be downloaded from the website "http://ideasec.gov" on April 14, 2010.
