Description
The United States Air Force through Global Logistics Support Center (GLSC) at Oklahoma City Air Logistics Center (OC-ALC) is intending to procure overhaul of line items cited below for a FFP Requirements Contract. This is a competitive overhaul effort. 1. Estimated issue date and estimated closing/response date issued 16 March 2010, Closes 16 April 2010. 2. RFP# - FA8119-10-R-0024 3. PR# - FD2030-09-06748 4. Nomenclature/Noun - Boom Shock Absorber Recoil Assembly, Nozzle Head and Poppet Assembly, and Universal Nozzle Assembly 5. NSN - 1680-00-336-7412FL & 1680-00-504-9353FL & 1680-00-656-6170FL 6. PN - 50-1438, 5-40678-18, 5-40678-19 7. Application (Engine or Aircraft) - KC-135 Aircraft 8. AMC - R 1/G - Suitable for competitive acquisition for the second or subsequent time. The Government has rights to the technical data, the data package is complete, and there are no technical data, engineering, tooling or manufacturing restrictions. 9. Description: These line Items below are total Small Business Set aside. -Line Item 0001: 1680-00-336-7412FL, Part number: 50-1438 : Overhaul of Boom Shock Absorber Recoil Assembly which absorbs recoil of initial contact of the refueling boom with the receiver aircraft. The Boom Shock Absorber Recoil Assembly is made of Aluminum and steel, with dimension: 22''L x 7''H x 7'' W. Weigh 31 lbs. Quantity: Basic year: 136 each, Option I: 152 each, Option II: 138 each -Line Item 0002: NSN: 1680-00-504-9353FL, Part Number 5-40678-18: Overhaul of Nozzle Head and Poppet Assembly. Nozzle Head and Poppet Assembly is a component of the universal nozzle assembly which forms the fuel-tight coupling between the receiver aircraft and the air refueling boom-equipped tanker aircraft. Nozzle Head and Poppet Assembly is made of Aluminum and Steel, with dimension: 12''L x 8''H x 8'' W. The proposed contract action is for overhaul for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with a limited number of sources. This notice is a request for competitive proposal. All proposals received within forty-five days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. Note: While price will be a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final contract award decision may be based upon a combination of price and past performance factors as detailed in the solicitation. Note: An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential Offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
