This synopsis is for information and planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. This is not a solicitation announcement for proposals and no contract will be awarded from this announcement. The United States Coast Guard has a requirement for the purchase of various spare parts that are used on the United States Coast Guard Short Range Recovery aircraft (SRR/H65). These parts are considered commercial in nature. The parts required are as follows: P/N NSN NOMENCLATURE QTY 622-4424-001 6615-01-134-8914 GYROSCOPE, VERTICAL 7 HG7502AJ02 5841-01-134-8907 RECEIVER-TRANSMITTER 1 457400ZB1502 5841-01-HS1-5795 IND VERT. SPEED 10 A Fixed Price Purchase Order is anticipated. Simplified Acquisition Test Program Procedures will be utilized for this acquisition. The USCG desires new items but will accept overhauled items. All parts, whether new or overhauled, must come with an Airworthiness Approval Tag FAA Form 8130-3. Additionally, overhauled items for this request will need to be certified that they have 75% of service life remaining. For clarification, this will be a spares purchase and not a contract to overhaul. After the review of the responses to this sources sought announcement, and if the Government still plans to proceed with the acquisition, a solicitation announcement will be published on the Federal Business Opportunities website, www.fbo.gov. Responses to this sources sought synopsis are not an adequate response to any future solicitation announcement. All companies that can meet the requirement are encouraged to provide a capability statement, company literature, brochures, or any other information that demonstrates that the requirement can be met. Telephone responses will NOT be accepted. Responses must be received no later than 4:00 p.m. (EST) on March 19(tentative), 2010. This notice is to assist the USCG in determining potential sources only. All firms responding to this sources sought notice are advised that their response to this notice is not a request to be considered for a contract award. All interested parties must respond to the solicitation announcement separately from the responses to this announcement. Responses to this sources sought synopsis are NOT considered as a request to be added to a prospective offeror's list or to receive a copy of the solicitation. Reimbursement will not be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this announcement and any follow-up information requests.
