- The U.S. Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Research Service, Agricultural Research Service, Northern Plains Area, intends to enter into a single source contract with Topcon Precision Agriculture, Livermore CA, for the purchase of a nutrient sensor package. Topcon is the only known source that provides the Crop Spec sensor kit. USDA intends to evaluate this sensor which has very different specifications than the other commercial units available. Key specifications are the sensing wavelengths and the sensing footprint.
