- Description
- The VA Black Hills intends to compete a firm fixed price contract for Nephrology services. Contractor shall serve as Clinical Director and will be responsible for all aspects of the nephrology unit including, but not limited to: providing direction and support to the dialysis personnel regarding equipment, technology, patient care location and space, techniques, supplies, policies and procedures employed by the VA hospital, maintaining licensure and ensuring that all requirements of The Joint Commission are met as well as participating in quality management, utilization review and cost containment activities. Contractor shall assist with making and keeping accurate and proper records and statistics on all procedures performed in the dialysis unit in accordance with Dialysis Outcome Quality Initiatives Guidelines. Contractor to provide monthly renal clinics, patient evaluations, medical directorship, overflow consults and overflow follow-ups at contractors office location. Contractor to serve as an active member of the End Stage Renal Disease (ESRD) Committee. Contractor shall be able to be reached via telephone for consultations with BHHCS Renal Staff 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
