- The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ intends to procure on a sole-source basis with the Bell Boeing Joint Project Office training on the maintenance, calibration, and operation of the V-22 Midwing Porprotor and Tiltaxis Gearbox Flushing Carts, to the Fleet Readiness Center East (FRCE) employees. The V-22 Midwing, Porprotor, and Tiltaxis Gearbox Flushing Carts are currently being designed, developed, and delivered by Bell Boeing Joint Project Office to FRC East. The Government intends to procure the above items under the authority of 10 USC 2304 (c) (1), FAR 6.302-1. Bell Boeing Joint Project Office is the only source that possesses the technical data and requisite knowledge required to perform this effort in sufficient time to meet the Government’s needs. This is not a request for competitive proposals. However, responsible sources are encouraged to submit a response to this synopsis in writing that contains information that may be used by the government to determine whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the government not to open this requirement to competition based upon response(s) to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information provided herein is subject to change and in no way binds the government to solicit for an award of a contract. See Note 22.
