Description
This action has been awarded under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of2009. In compliance with this Act, the Government posts this notice that change orders 2,3, 4, and 5 were issued to the existing Delivery Order 1011 under contract NNJ08JA02C,the Facilities Contract, to procure facilities support services for Hurricane Ike PhaseII repairs funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. The facilitiessupport services provided under Delivery Order 1011 included: <P>DO-1011-2 'In order to assist Safety and Security with vehicular traffic the contractoris required to repaint the parking area to provide new 'No Parking' areas and fire laneareas on parking spaces at temporary trailer(s). This will enable there to be fire lanesfor emergency fire vehicles as well as enable Security to control vehicular traffic withthe moving of handicap and reserved spaces being affected by the temporary trailerlocation and the new fire lane being created.' <P>DO-1011-3 'The contractor is to provide and install 50 cm X 50 cm carpet tile borders inthe dining area in the building 3 cafeteria. This will help break the pattern visuallyand will provide stability.' <P>DO-1011-4 'The contractor is to provide 24-hour asbestos abatement monitoring duringregular and non-regular hours at the work site. This is in order to prevent negative airmachine loss of power or failure to prevent asbestos fibers from contaminating othersurrounding areas.' <P>DO-1011-5 'The contractor is to remove and dispose of the existing asbestos-containinginsulation on piping above plaster ceiling which was unknown until demolition began. Thepiping is required to be re-insulated with non-asbestos material to meet JSCEnvironmental regulations. Materials shall be disposed in hazardous waste containerssupplied by the JSC Environmental Office.' <P>Modification 146 was issued for funding of these change orders.<P>The Facilities Contract is a firm-fixed-price/cost-plus-award fee/award term contractwhich was awarded on a competitive basis. The delivery orders were issued under thefixed-price portion of the contract.
