- Recovery: This notice is provided for information purposes only. This opportunity available only to Contractors under the USDA, Forest Service, Pacific Northwest Region 6, Precommerical Thinning, Planting and Pruning Services Contracts. Task Order Recovery Smack Precommercial Thinning and Fuel break, Three Rivers Ranger District, Colville National Forest. Colville National Forest located in North Eastern Washington State will do a task order for Precommerical Thinning and Fuel break in the Smack Area located on the Three Rivers Ranger District in Stevens County, Washington State. The project is estimated to have three items. Two of the items will be option items. The base item is estimated at 272 acres, while Option Item 2 and 3 are estimated at 390 and 40 acres respectively. The project requires tree thinning, hand piling and lopping and scattering of slash for silvicultural purposes and to reduce fuels in the rural interface and related work on the Three Rivers Ranger District, Colville National Forest. The work for the base item is estimated to begin in June 15, 2010 with a completion date of 79 calendar days. Option Item 2 and Option Item 3 are estimated to begin September 1, 2010 with a completion date of 103 calendar days and 27 calendars from the notice to proceed respectively. The Contractors shall furnish all management, labor, equipment, supervision, tools, materials, transportation, operating supplies, supervision, workman’s compensation, unemployment insurance and incidentals necessary to perform the work in accordance with the specification and provisions of the contract. The Contractor will be required to have a Washington State Farm/Forest License and a Migrant and Seasonal Agricultural Worker Protection Registration. The resulting order shall utilize funds provided by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) of 2009 inclusion of unique provision required implementing the Act, including those for significant reporting and transparency requirements by the successful offeror will be required.
