- Standard Form 1449 Solicitation - NAMA-10-R-0004 Request for Proposal for Exhibit Design, Fabrication and Installation Services The National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for Exhibit Design, Fabrication and Installation Services. Work consists of providing all necessary equipment, personnel, supplies, materials and supervision to perform various exhibit design, fabrication and installation services. The services will be ordered by individually issued Task Orders, at the National Archives and Records Administration’s Record Centers (Multiple locations), throughout the United States. NARA will also produce traveling exhibits. The traveling exhibits will be setup and installed at each NARA facility. The exhibits will require handling and displaying priceless, irreplaceable documentary materials including historically valuable textual documents; original photograph prints, original drawings, paintings, film and valuable objects from the holdings of the National Archives. Expert care of all historical objects is a primary concern of the Government. As a result, the materials must meet the highest standards, quality and craftsmanship. The Contractor will also be required to observe special handling requirements for all original materials displayed in the exhibits. Additional tasks include fabrication of exhibit cases and structure, full service graphics, interactive computer components, delivery and installation of exhibit final production. The exact specifications will be included in the individual task orders. Multiple Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contracts may be awarded with incorporated Department of Labor wage determinations. The requirement is unrestricted, open to both large and small businesses. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 712110. Copies of the RFP, which will be available on March 31, 2010, may be obtained through the Federal Business Opportunities website at www.fedbizopps.gov. Proposals are due on APRIL 27, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. It is the Offeror’s responsibility to monitor this site for the release of the solicitation and amendments, if any. All contractors are responsible for reading and understanding the contents of the RFP. All contractors interested in receiving notifications of updates/amendments to the solicitation posted on the Federal Business Opportunities website are urged to enroll on the website mailing list for this acquisition. Those contractors enrolled will be notified automatically of any changes made to the RFP through their email addresses. No telephone or fax RFP request will be accepted. The Government will reply promptly to inquiries received during the time frame as cited above, but will not extend the closing date merely because of late submittal of questions.
