Description
This is a synopsis for commercial services prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 5.2. This announcement will be followed by a written solicitation approximately 15 days from the date this synopsis is publicized. The solicitation will request responses/proposals approximately 30 days after the solicitation is issued. The U.S. Army Contracting Command, Joint Munitions and Lethality Contracting Center Picatinny Arsenal, NJ has a requirement for an off-site Training Analyst to work at the United States Army Infantry Center located at Fort Benning, Georgia. This requires the contractor to coordinate requirements and issues between Program Manager Individual Weapons (PM IW) and the users representatives located at the U.S. Army Infantry School and Training and Doctorate Command (TRADOC). The contractors duties will include, but not be limited to: coordination of training/issues/actions, prepare, review and/or update as required program documentation to include, but not limited to, the System Training Plan (STRAP), implementation plan for Training Aids/Devices/Simulators and Simulation (TADSS), long range training strategy and new equipment training plan. The contractor will be expected to provide assistance in small arms program research, analysis, and coordination in support of decision making processes for PM IW Product Directors by attending meetings, providing analysis and reports, reviewing and commenting on documents and preparing original acquisition documents. The primary location for the performance of work under this contract is at Fort Benning, Georgia. The contractor will be expected to travel, as required, an estimated 29 trips per year with duration of 3-10 days per trip to locations throughout the United States. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this effort is 541330 Engineering Services and the size standard is $4,500,000. The Government intends to award this contract on the basis of limited competition to HUBZone certified firms. It is anticipated that the contract will be a firm fixed price contract with four (4) option years. Proposals shall be required within 30 days of issuance of the Solicitation.
