Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for the commercial items identified below, prepared in accordance with the format in Far Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; offers are being requested and a written solicitation shall not be issued. This solicitation number is: 001-1275-120-00420, is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ), and incorporates provisions and clauses that are in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-27. This solicitation shall be solicited on a unrestricted basis. The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) code is 334516. The U.S. Dept. of Agriculture intends to procure the following item (or equivalent) which is manufactured by Advanced Analytical Technologies, Inc. in Ames, Iowa Phone number: 954-680-4314. dsDNA Fragment Analysis System Specifications •1) Must be able to perform simultaneous, parallel injection and separation of an entire 96-well plate in one run •2) Must be able to perform sample injection by either vacuum or voltage injection mode •3) Must be able to provide analysis of two 96-well sample plates unattended without any user intervention or additional robotics/liquid handling required •4) Must have demonstrated sensitivity of at least 5pg/ m l •5) Must be able to separate 96 different samples of up to a 1,000 bp fragment length in under 30 minutes •6) Must utilize a capillary array format with the ability to use capillary arrays of different lengths •7) Must have automated flushing of the capillaries between runs to eliminate sample carryover •8) Must have a data analysis software package capable of sizing, quantification and report generation •9) Must be able to separate dsDNA fragments from 35 bp to 40,000 bp •10) Must use LED based fluorescence with excitation at 470 nm •11) Must come with a computer and all accessories The Government is offering a trade-in of it's currently owned: Electrophoresis system - Model: Qi-Axcel - manufactured by Qiagen.
