- Sources Sought Notice for the US Fish & Wildlife Service, Region 6, Mountain & Prairie Region, Contracting and General Services. This is not a Pre-solicitation or a Solicitation announcement. This is a Sources Sought Notice only. The purpose of this Sources Sought Notice is to gain market knowledge of potential business sources and their size classifications, either Other Than Small Business or Small Business (Small Business, Small Disadvantaged Business, 8a, Hubzone, or Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business) relative to providing Cadastral Surveying Services under an A&E-Surveying IDIQ contract for the following zones: 1) Zone 1-Montana; 2) Zone 2-North Dakota; 3) Zone 3-South Dakota; 4) Zone 4- Kansas and Nebraska; 5) Zone 5-Utah, Colorado and Wyoming.This contract will consist of the vendor providing all plant, labor, tools, and transportation, materials and incidentals necessary to perform Cadastral Surveying Services of the indicated areas.The NAICS for this acquisition is 541370, with a size standard of $4.5 million.Responses to this notice shall include: Company Name, address, point of contact, telephone number and size of business. Reponses to this Sources Sought Notice will not be considered as a response to any solicitation, or a request to be added to a Prospective Bidders List, or to receive a copy of any solicitation. Provide responses in writing no later than April XX, 2010.Additional Information:The US Fish & Wildlife Service (FWS), Mountain-Prairie Region 6, in accordance with Public Law 92-582, The Brooks Act, and Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 36, Construction and Architect-Engineer Contracts, plans to secure a multi-year Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ), for Cadastral Surveying Services to execute surveys in support of FWS resource management programs in the indicated zones in FWS Region 6. The purpose of the FWS surveys is to research, locate, plat and describe the geographic position of points, lines, and shapes for the acquisition, disposal, and management of real property rights and interests.The professional surveying services may include, but is not limited to: boundary surveying, including fee, right-of-way and easement; and, topographic and geodetic control surveying. The surveying may involve: records research; adjoiner notification; corner search; corner identification; corner maintenance; corner monumentation; boundary marking and posting; Global Positioning System and conventional surveying; elevation determination; mapping; preparation of legal descriptions and tract reports; preparation and processing of tentative maps and application for land division approval; calculation of volumes and quantities; recording of surveys plat and monument records; recognition of possible unwritten rights; defense of survey in court and other incidental work normally associated with the surveying profession. Successful firms must a Professional Land Surveyor registered in the state or states of each zone applied for. The Surveyor must be in responsible charge of the assigned project(s).
