- THIS IS AN AMERICAN RECOVERY AND REINVESTMENT ACT (ARRA) PROCUREMENT. The purpose of this announcement is to make notice that the Forest Service contemplates releasing a solicitation numbered AG-0489-S-10-0461 on or about April 15, 2010, for the RECOVERY Iditarod National Historic Trail Bridges project. If the solicitation is released, it will be released through this FedBizOpps website, and prospective bidders should visit this FedBizOpps website from time to time on or after April 15, 2010 to obtain a copy of the solicitation. This notice meets the requirements of FAR 5.201. However, the Forest Service reserves the right not to release a solicitation. PROJECT DESCRIPTION. This for the fabrication and installation of five glue laminated trail bridges and one log stringer bridge. Two of the bridges are included as base bid items (Spokane Creek and Bertha Creek) and four are included as optional items (Lower Granite, Upper Granite, Lyon Creek, and Winner Creek). Winner Creek bridge will be the log stringer bridge. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, supervision, transportation, supplies, except those designated as Government-furnished, and incidentals to perform all work specified within the solicitation. The Government estimate is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000 (Base plus Options) PROJECT LOCATION. All bridges are located on the Chugach National Forest south of Anchorage, Alaska. Winner Creek is located North East of Girdwood. All other bridges are located on the South end of Turnagain Pass on the West side of the road. PARTICIPATION. This project is being issued under the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program (FAR 19.10) which allows for Full and Open Competition. FOR MORE INFORMATION.
