- Description
- This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared inaccordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additionalinformation included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the onlysolicitation; offers are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This notice is being issued as a Request for Quotations (RFQ)for a Qty of three (3) V6VXS Card and a Qty of one (1) for Development Software.SPECIFICATIONS: V6 High Rate VXS Signal Processing FPGA and Acquisition Card1. BASIC REQUIREMENT:This specification is for a three identical boards and development software to be usedwithin an existing VME/VXS based system for the development of real-time communicationwaveforms and signal processing applications. Each board shall be a VME, 6U form factorand implement VXS board connections. Each board shall meet the following minimumspecifications:All requirements shall be met with a single card or in combination with mezzanine cardfor acquisition (ADC and DAC), I/O expansion. The card shall fit into a single heightslot and shall not interfere with cards above or below its own slot.Shall provide a minimum of 1 A/D channel (non multiplexed input, non interpolating, andno sigma delta architectures) with a minimum 2000M samples/sec sample rate and minimum of10 bit samples. Shall provide a minimum of 1 high speed D/A channels (no sigma delta architectures) eachwith a minimum sample rate of 4000M samples/sec and minimum of 12 bit samples.Shall have independent input clocks for each A/D and D/A.Shall support at least one QSFP or CXP interface and one SFP interfaceShall be compatible with a VME based system chassis with 6U format card support and VXS(VITA 41) support.Shall provide two on board VITA 41, ports A and B with 4 lanes each. All chassis boards to be 6U, VME/VXS form factor, VITA 41.0 compliant, and support Aurora and Gigabit Ethernet connectivity. All user defined FPGAs for user defined application shall be Xilinx type FPGAs fromthe family of Virtex 6 devices. Shall provide a minimum of 3 Virtex 6 devices with each FPGA having a logic capacitygreater than or equal Virtex 6, XC6VSX315T devices. All Virtex 6 FPGAs must be a speed grade of -2 or faster. There shall be at least one FPGA interface to the on-board D/A.There shall be at least one FPGA interface to the on-board A/D.The board shall have a minimum of 5GBytes of total SDRAM memory with DDR3 speedsaccessible by FPGA resources. All user define FPGAs for user defined applications shall have direct access to VXScommunication links, or directly linked to A/D or D/As.Shall provide a minimum of 16, user definable input or output I/O capability on and offthe board through back side or front side connectors that interface to at least one onboard user defined FPGA.Operating environment of delivered, board shall allow for operation in indoorenvironment. The board shall get all required power form the VME backplane. All boards to be supplied with developers kit containing FPGA interface wrapper code, interface software, constraints file and reference designs.Shall provide IP cores for FPGAs interfaces to all devices on the board and supportingI/O ports and include as a minimum the following cores: fifo buffers, D/A interfaces, A/Dinterfaces, Gigabit Etherent, and clocking distribution.Documentation for each board shall provide sufficient detail to program the variousdevices, describe the data flow, describe the architecture, control the board, load userdefined program data in appropriate flash memory areas, interface specifications andelectrical connections, external I/O pin descriptions and locations, and descriptions ofwrapper code. 2. USER SUPPORT:Contractor shall provide commercial user support for six months. The provisions and clauses in the RFQ are those in effect through FAC 2005-40. This procurement is a total small business set-aside. See Note 1.The NAICS Code and the small business size standard for this procurement are 334119, and1,000 employees, respectively. The offeror shall state in their offer their size statusfor this procurement. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the Agency.Delivery to NASA Glenn Research, 21000 Brookpark Road, Cleveland, OH 44135 is required. The DPAS rating for this procurement is DO-C9.Offers for the items(s) described above are due by April 20, 2010, COB, and may beemailed to Sandra.A.Brickner@nasa.gov or faxed to (216) 433-5489 and must include, solicitation number, proposed delivery schedule, discount/payment terms, warrantyduration (if applicable), taxpayer identification number (TIN), CAGE code, DUNS Number, identification of any special commercial terms, and be signed by an authorized companyrepresentative.
