- Description
- a. This is Amendment 0001 to W5J9CQ-10-R-0001A (Request for White Papers - AGC BAA - Topic 36/Geospatial Information Exploitation) b. For clarification purposes, below are questions submitted by propective offerors and the Government responses thereto: 1. Question: Scope of the needs analysis? Response: As stated, the studys scope is Army-wide: Overall, the training concept must identify common, critical geospatial tasks and an overarching action plan for integrating those tasks into training across the Army. 2. Question: Are there supporting efforts? Response: Ongoing efforts by the U.S. Army Maneuver Support Center of Excellence (MSCoE) is collecting data from TRADOC Centers and Schools on the Armys current POIs and TSPs related to geospatial training. Proposals should leverage that effort and focus, if not down-scope, their proposed work to analyzing that data in a manner that informs the training concept or action plan. 3. Question: Is additional information required? Response: While efforts by MSCoE will determine what geospatial training is being provided, a related issue is what should be provided. Offerors might address the need to collect survey and interview information from key members of recently deployed Brigade Combat Teams (BCTs) to identify units geospatial training needs, including any need for supplementary unit-based geospatial training approaches and methods. 4. Question: Overarching concept or specific training program/solution? Response: As stated, the study is focused on developing an overarching concept or action plan for integrating those tasks into training across the Army. In contrast, several questions from proposers have discussed the need for, and their plans to develop, more specific training programs and solutions. Note, the topic title stresses training needs analysis. Based on the conclusions of the training needs analysis, offerors might then address their approach to developing recommendations on the training methods, tools, and aids needed to bridge the Armys geospatial training gap. 5. What is level of effort? Response: Estimated level of effort is approximately eighteen (18) Professional Staff Months. c. All other terms and conditions remain unchanged.
