- Description
- The RS JPO is hosting an industry forum on June 15, 2010 on UGV interoperability standards. During the forum, the RS JPO will share its vision and approach for the future on open interfaces and standards for achieving UGV interoperability. The goal of the industry forum is to create an ongoing interoperability venue for developing, vetting, and codifying industry best practices on open architecture, common interfaces and standards that lead to payload modularity, commonality, interoperable data link, and common control. The RS JPO is pursuing an iterative, progressive (crawl, walk, run) approach to standards determination. This effort will form the basis of UGV interoperability standards that will be used in future UGV acquisition performance specifications and requirement documents. The topics for this event will include analysis of Joint Architecture Unmanned Systems (SAE AS-4) standards, logical and physical architecture concepts (Commonality; Payload/Modularity); and communications data link.
