- Description
- RECOVERY - Task Order Notification THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY UNDER THE AMERICAN RECOVERY AND REINVESTMENT ACT (ARRA) PROGRAM. This opportunity is available only to contractors under the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) awardees from solicitation 2008-N-09699. The awardees were: ABT (200-2008-27954), Battelle (200-2008-27956), Macro 200-2008-27957), RTI (200-2008-27958), SAIC (200-2008-27959), and Westat (200-2008-27960). Project Title: Modified Behavioral Risk Factor surveillance System (BRFSS) Infrastructure for ARRA/CPPW Funded communities. This procurement is to fund the sampling and weighting of BRFSS data once it has been collected by ARRA/Communities Putting Prevention to Work (CPPW) communities through point-in-time surveys. The implemented weighting methodology will be iterative proportional fitting (also referred to as "raking") to ensure sampled population accurately represents the targeted state or community population. The contractor who develops this methodology will use the proposed new BRFSS weighting methodology as a model and adapt it for application to the ARRA dataset. This methodology must be specifically developed and tailored to the demographics of ARRA target population. This project pertains to the overall mission, as the BRFSS, and more specifically the BRFSS/ARRA projects' objective is to document, evaluate, and substantiate public health interventions in states and communities. The goals of the interventions are to ascertain the burden of chronic diseases, design strategies to improve the health of the population, provide training and leadership skills to public health partners to advocate for these public health issues by supporting programs which promote healthy behaviors at all levels of the socioeconomic model. This project will develop the necessary infrastructure for collecting relevant data to measure and evaluate the impact of their work during the 24-month funded period. This is not a request for competitive proposals, not is a solicitation available. Period of Performance: The period of performance shall be thirty-six months. Any questions regarding this notice must be submitted in writing to Maryann Schlemmer at aaq8@cdc.gov.
