- This Request for Quote (RFQ), N00104-10-Q-Q503, for commercial hardware support prepared in accordance with the format in FAR 13 Simplified Acquisition, as supplemented with additional information included in the notice. This announcement constitutes the only RFQ; said software and software maintenance is to be purchased for FLEET NUMERICAL METEOROLOGY & OCEANOGRAPHY CENTER (FLENUMMETOCCEN) located in Monterey, CA. NAVICP Mechanicsburg intends to procure Moab Cluster Software Perpetual License and Support; see attached spreadsheet for specifics. Period of performance is for a base period of 8 months, as show in the attached (1 May 10 thru 31 Dec 10), and two, 1-year options (12 months each). Brand name equivalent is not acceptable. SUBSTITUTE SERVICES WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED. The NAICS associated with this purchase is 443120, Computer and Software Stores, this procurement is unrestricted. Small businesses are being considered. To be considered for award, vendors must be AUTHORIZED Moab, distributor or reseller. Vendors must quote ALL items to be considered for award. QUOTES MUST BE VALID FOR 30 DAYS. A firm fixed price purchase order(s) will be issued based on the lowest priced technically acceptable quote (inclusive of options). Offerors should provide "Remit To" address, if applicable. All responsible sources may submit a quotation for consideration. Quotes must be emailed to NAVICP Code 0271.AG at amanda.goddard@navy.mil. All quotes are due by 9:00 AM Eastern, 13 April 2010. The provision at FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors - Commercial, applies to this acquisition. Offerors should provide "Remit To" address, if applicable; they are also reminded to include a completed copy of the provision at 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications Commercial Items (Jun 08) and 252.212-7000, Offeror Representations and Certifications Commercial Items (Jun 05) with its offer. FAR 52.204-7, Required Central Contractor Registration (Apr 08) is incorporated, Clause 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions- Commercial Items (Oct 08), is hereby incorporated by reference. Brand Name Posting information:FNMOC has used Moab on its systems for years. It is approved in DADMS and assigned to FNMOC in MAAD. To switch equivalent software would require finding an acceptable new software tool, gaining approval to use it, and re-training our personnel to use the new tool. This is likely to be much more expensive than merely buying support service renewal for the already installed item.
