- Description
- Mainframe Hosting SOW The US Government Printing Office (GPO) has a requirement for a cost-effective solution for operation of our mainframe platform system as a primary goal of this project. The contractor shall provide services which can provide a suitable alternative to GPO's existing on-site mainframe solution and eliminate the need for maintenance. GPO's secondary goal is to provide a fault tolerant solution for it's services in a hosted environment that meets it's current SLA's. GPO's mainframe hardware is an Amdahl GS422 Millenium 64 MIP Dual Processor running OS390 version 2.9 operating system. The current DASD environment consist of an Amdhl Spectris SP400 with 4 GB cache and 8 ECSON channels and less than 1 TB of storage across 7,200 RPM and 10,000 RPM drives. All software in the IBM software stack and the independant vendor software are currently unsupported.
