- Description
- The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ, intends to negotiate on a non-competitive basis with Marine Container Equipment Certification Corporation of Farmingdale, NJ, for a six-month extension of contract N68335-05-D-0019, which is for services to certify Mobile Facilities (MF’s) in accordance with 49 CFR 450, International Convention for Safe Containers (CSC). The Government intends to procure the above services under the authority of 10 USC 2304(c) (1), FAR 6.302-1, as a bridge action between the existing contract and the follow-on competitive acquisition in order to provide continuity of services. Award to any other source would result in unacceptable delays in fulfilling Government requirements. The Period of Performance for this contract shall be extended to 27 November 2010 by this action. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all responses received within fifteen days after the date of publication of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to open this requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of this notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
