Description
VAMC Beckley, WV is seeking the services of an Architect-Engineer firm to complete design package for construction of new Parking Garage project #517-400, 350 to 400 parking spaces at the Beckley VAMC, 200 Veterans Ave, Beckley, WV. This is not a Request for Proposal, this is a Sources Sought document only. Design will be awarded in Fiscal Year 2010 with construction awarded in Fiscal Year 2011. This proposal is restricted to 250 mile radius ; both small and large firms may submit. Firms submitting SF 330s shall provide five paper copies and one CD copy to the attention of Kim Pauley 200 Veterans Ave, Bldg 4B, Beckley, WV 25801 by 2PM Eastern Standard time on April 21, 2010. The selected firm shall provide all necessary labor, material, equipment and architectural and engineering and structural services as required to provide recommendation of site layout and design parking structure. The selected firm shall conduct traffic analysis to determine the number of entrances and detail traffic flow. The selected firm shall complete contract drawings, specifications, technical reports, and cost estimates through construction of the project. Design shall be in accordance with all applicable requirements of the VA construction standards, space criteria, NFPA, NEC, OSHA and local, state and federal regulations. Reviews at 25%, 75%, 95% and 100% are required. All construction documents are to be provided electronically in the current version of 2-D and 3-D AutoCad used by VAMC Beckley (AutoCad MEP2010) and MS Word. NAICS code 541310 is applicable to this procurement. Faxed copies of SF 330 are not acceptable. The SF 330 form may be downloaded at www.gsa.gov/forms. The A/E firm must address the following areas in their submission: (1) Team proposed for this project (2) Proposed Management Plan (3) Previous experience of proposed team; location and facilities of working offices (5) proposed design approach for this project; (6) Project control; (7) Estimating effectiveness (8) Sustainable design (9) miscellaneous experience and capabilities (10) awards and (11) Insurance and litigation.
