- The Federal Aviation Administration, Northwest Mountain Region, intends to award a construction contract for the subject project. The FAA contemplates award of a Firm-Fixed Price contract. Project Scope: The work consists of furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment (except government furnished) for the Removal and Installation of an Engine Generator (E/G) system at the Medford Airport Surveillance Radar (ASR-9) facility located in Medford, Oregon. The work to be performed includes, but is not limited to the following: 1) Provide 100KW temporary emergency generator and automatic transfer switch while the existing E/G is being replaced.2) Demolish existing engine generators, bypass switches, transfer switches, radiators, exhaust ducts, batteries, battery racks, exhaust system, fuel piping and associate equipment.3) Install new 100KW EG, automatic transfer switch (ATS/BIS), radiators exhaust duct work, battery chargers, load bank controllers, exhaust system, fuel piping, raceways, EG remote stop manual pull station, cable and associate equipment. There is a MANDATORY ONE TIME site visit offered on April 21, 2010 at 1:00 PM (PDT). This project is classified under NAICS Code 238210, the Small Business Administration Size Standard for this NAICS Code is $14.0 Million. Estimated total value: Between $100,000 - $250,000. All questions concerning this Request for Offer (RFO) are due no later than 4:00 PM Pacific Daylight Time (PDT) on April 27, 2010. OFFERS ARE DUE NO LATER THAN 4:00 PM Pacific Daylight Time (PDT) on May 6, 2010. This Notice is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization, has a program to assist small businesses, small businesses owned and controlled by a socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, and women-owned concerns to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $750,000.
