- THIS IS AN AMERICAN RECOVERY AND REINVESTMENT ACT OF 2009 (ARRA) PROCUREMENT RECOVERY - Gifford Pinchot National Forest, Skamania County, Washington The purpose of this announcement is to make notice that the Forest Service contemplates releasing a solicitation number AG-0489-S-10-0457 on or about April 22, 2010. If the solicitation is released, it will be released through this FedBizOpps website, and prospective bidders should visit this FedBizOpps website from time to time on or after April 14, 2010, to obtain a copy of the solicitation. This notice meets the requirements of FAR 5.201. However, the Forest Service reserves the right not to release a solicitation. Project consists of two (2) line items Line item 1 Includes the design, fabrication and updating of exhibits, to include replacing audio wand translation system andtranslating existing and new exhibits and movies into foreign languages. Repair/replace of information boards monument wide. repair of damaged recreational facilities monument wide, replacing windows at Johnston Ridge, repairing Goos lake boat ramp, and replacing toilets at Surprise Lakes. Site work, concrete work, Propane tanks and appurtenances and other miscellaneous items. Line item 2 Include replacing a pump at Norway Pass, deepening a well at Meta Lake, fog seal and re-stripe recreational sites around National Volcanic Monument (NVM), replacing interpretive signs around NVM, redevelop Pine Creek Work Center, complete energy efficiency projects around the forest, upgrade exhibits at Johnston Ridge Observatory, maintain visitor center (VC) electrsystem, repair curbs and sidewalks at the VC's and replacing decking at Coldwater Lake. The magnitude of construction for this acquisition is expected to be between $250,000 and $500,000. The Government intends to award a negotiated firm fixed price contract PROJECT LOCATION. This project is located at Pine Creek Work Center Lower Compound (South side of the road) on the Mount St' Helens Ranger District of the Gifford Pinchot National Forest, Section 26, Township 7 North, Range 6 East, W.M.., 18 miles east of Cougar, Washington. It may be reached by traveling East from Cougar on WA-503/Forest Service Road 90. PARTICIPATION. This acquisition is determined to be Se Aside for Small Business Concerns.. The North American Classification System Code (NAICS) is 237990. The size standard is $20 Million. The solicitation with specifications and Davis Bacon Contract Act wage rates will be posted to the FedBizOpps website www.fbo.gov. REGISTRATIONS.
