Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Provide Supply Chain Training for the United States Army Medical Materiel Center, Europe (USAMMCE) which is located in Pirmasens, Germany from 26 - 30 April 2010. Supply Chain Training should focus on identifying operational efficiencies that enhances productivity, accuracy and customer service. The training should consists of a one day walk through and observation of existing facility processes and methodologies, one day should be to update training that will enhance and expand current methodologies, third day should be an all day training session with power point instructional guides, handouts and exercises, and the fourth day should be an on-the-floor validation of the training, plus answering results. The training shall be in English. Handouts will be provided for each participant. Handouts will consist of note pages and copies of slides. Elements of Training will be Leadership, Ownership, Communication, 360% Follow Up, Review possible golden nuggets in each functional areas: Receiving, Staging, Put-A-Way, Picking, Packing, Quality Assurance and Shipping. Key Performance Matrix by Functional area and the importance of tracking. Preliminary Preparation: In an effort to assure training on areas that USAMMCE specifically needs, a conference call should be conducted to go over the complete one day agenda and elements of each section. Customization of Materials: The materials will be customized for USAMMCE prior to Contractor's arrival. After the one day review of USAMMCE's existing processes, additional customization changes will be made, if applicable. Statement of Work Supply Chain Training to be Conducted at United States Army Medical Materiel Center, Europe (USAMMCE) The supply chain training shall identify operational efficiencies that could enhance productivity within USAMMCE, located in Pirmasens, Germany, that could increases accuracy of the USAMMCE systems and that could enhance overall customer service. The offeror shall evaluate the existing USAMMCE facility processes and methodologies and then provide a training session to identify operational efficiencies that may enhance productivity within USAMMCE to include on-the-floor validation of the training session where participants will put in place the training lessons learned. Printed classroom materials shall be provided to each participant. Tasks: 1. Provide a written report where USAMMCE can make efficiency changes leading to cost savings avoidance (Technology). 2. Provide Professional Development class on warehouse and Supply Chain productivity - lessons learned/observed for Systems, Applications, Products (SAP) commercial organizations that can be applied at USAMMCE. 3. Instill a new way of thinking and broaden creativity and knowledge of the Supply Chain and distribution operations. This is a request for quotes. Interested parties who believe they can meet this requirement may submit their quote in writing to: MAJ Bryan K. Preer, Contract Specialist, via email at bryan.preer@us.army.mil no later than 12:00 PM EST, 14 April 2010. Submission should be emailed as either a PDF or Microsoft Office attachment. Submissions should be on company letterhead and include company's name, point of contact, address, phone number, fax number, DUNS Number, CAGE Code. Quote will be evaluated on the best value to the Government. All information shall be furnished at no cost or obligation to the Government. This award will be made using simplified acquisition procedures (FAR Part 13). Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. Thanks BRYAN K.
