Description
The purpose of this modification is to incorporate the following information into the original solicitation, #Q1940100707: (1) The following additonal questions were submitted following the site visit from Wednesday, April 7, 2010 along with their respective answers: a. Item #3 Sand swep side plating, prime and paint gloss black- will this include the bulwarks at the bow interior and exterior? Answer: Item #3, The answer is yes, interior and exterior of the forward bulwarks. b. Item #4 Prepare prime and paint deck house gloss white - willthis include the exhaust stack and all surrounding piping/vents? Answer: Item #4, The answer is yes, the stack and piping are a part of the deck house. c. Item #5 Prepare prime and paint deck, non skid grey - willthis incude the bitts on deck which are black? Answer: Item#5, The answer is yes, the bitts are part of the deck structure. d. Item #19 Repair bow fender, fabricate rubber block andinstallation clips, weld in solid - can you verify that this is the 7vertical pieces only, and does not include the horizontal fendering? Answer: Item #19. It is the center solid rubber block at the stem, replace block and weld in with new clips. e. Item #20 Prepare prime and paint passenger cabin interiorwith 1 coat of commercial marine grade paint (blkheads white, deck nonskid grey. - Could you please verify that only the painted surfaces areto be painted, in this case the deck as the bulkheads linings arelaminated plywood. Answer: The painting in the passenger cabin consist of, preparing, priming and painting the deck non-skid gray, the deck is steel. The bulkheads are any and all aluminum areas, ventilation tunnels, the window frame areas, the interior sides of the sliding doors.stantions for roof supports, framing of the cieling tiles will be white gloss. The laminated side panels are not to be painted. The entire exterior of the vessel is to be painted, as the existing colors are. (2) All other terms and conditions remain unchanged.
