Description
Command and Control (C2) Synopsis Overview charts for RFI Respondents The Satellite Control and Network Systems Group (SCNG) of the Space and Missile Systems Center (SMC) is exploring candidate approaches for a secure Compatible Satellite Command and Control (Compatible C2) Architecture by building a prototype lab implementation at The Aerospace Corporation in Chantilly, VA. The SMC/SCNG is developing a prototype based on NASA's Goddard Mission Services Evolution Center (GMSEC) framework and standards implementation. This prototype will use selected legacy satellite C2 systems to demonstrate and test future framework implementation concepts, common satellite C2 services, space and ground situational awareness, common user display concepts, and approaches for Information Assurance and Computer Network Defense. To help SMC/SCNG determine the feasibility of acquiring a Compatible C2 architecture and framework that can meet these objectives, the Government requests information from industry on related company research activities that may support the Government's objectives. If interested in integrating a selected company's capability into the prototype lab, the Government requests additional information on how the company would assist the Government with demonstration licenses and complimentary technical support.
