- This is a Sources Sought posting for market research purposes only. This is not a request for Quote. The Air Force Flight Test Center at Edwards AFB, CA is seeking vendors capable of providing the following: One (1) Missile Test Cart, Built IAW Air Force Drawing X20046104 Cart used to store and transport missile test sets, documents, technical manuals, and tools. Cart enables various missile test sets to perform a range of tests and programming functions while resting atop the its' shelf. Dimensions are L: 60.25" X W: 30.25" X H: 34". Cart has documentation cabinet as well as attached grounding cable. Color is grey and the cart is set atop four heavy-duty casters. Total weight is 400 pounds. One (1) AIM-9 GCS Stand, Built IAW Air Force Drawing X20015490 Stand used to disassemble, maintenance, and store AIM-9 missile guidance and control sections. Dimensions are L: 60.50" X W: 30.38" X H: 33". Stand is painted grey, has safety straps attached, and its' total weight is approximately 180 pounds. One (1) AGM-88 Screw Removal Tool Kit, Built IAW Air Force Drawing X20084677 Metal tool set used to remove screws from AGM-88 missiles. One (1) Bobtail/Trailer/Cable Tester, Built IAW Air Force Drawing X20075230 Description: 24L X 36W (IN), The Bobtail (Vehicle)-Trailer-Cable Tester is an electronic device used to verify proper electrical connections exist in tow vehicles (bobtails), receptacles of bobtails (or cargo trucks equipped with like receptacles), trailers (MHU-110/141/226 and flat bed cargo trailers), and the interconnecting cables used between bobtails and trailers. The tester ensures vehicles and trailers are wired correctly, light bulbs and turn signal devices are functional, and that no short circuits exist in wires. The tester aids in detecting and troubleshooting incorrectly wired systems and it helps isolate defective electronic components within systems. The unit is self-powered and comes with an AC or DC rechargeable 12V battery. Place of delivery and acceptance is Edwards AFB, CA 93524; Please note that this synopsis is for planning purposes only, does not constitute a solicitation for competitive bids/proposals, and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. However, all interested parties who believe they can meet the requirements are invited to submit in writing complete information describing their ability to provide one Missile Test Cart, one AIM-9 GCS Stand, one AGM-88 Screw Removal Tool Kit, and one Bobtail/Trailer/Cable Tester. FOB Destination; Edwards AFB, CA 93524. Firms responding to this synopsis must identify their company's capabilities to perform the requirements described herein, reference the synopsis number, and indicate whether or not they are a small or small disadvantaged business concern as defined in FAR 52.219-1. The NAICS code is 336419. The Small Business size standard is 1,000 employees. The information received because of this notice will be considered solely for determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Air Force not to open the requirement to open competition, based on response to this sources sought synopsis, is solely within the discretion of the Air Force. The Government does not intend to pay for any information provided under this sources sought synopsis. It is anticipated that a Firm Fixed Price contract will be awarded in May 2010.
