- 90 MDG MEDICAL RECORDS CODING AUDITOR Request For Information The intent of this announcement is to notify potential contractors of an upcoming 90TH Medical Group Medical Records Coding Auditor acquisition. This proposed contract is being considered as a set-aside under a small business set-aside program. The North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) Code proposed for the requirement is 561110. The size standard for NAICS 561110 is $7M. The government is interested in all small businesses including 8(a), Historically Underutilized Business Zone, or Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses that are interested in performing this requirement. The government requests interested parties submit a brief description of their company's business size (i.e. annual revenues and employee size), business status (i.e., 8(a), Historically Underutilized Business Zone, or Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses, small business) anticipated teaming arrangements, and a description of similar services offered to the Government and to commercial customers. Any responses involving teaming agreements should delineate between the work that will be accomplished by the prime and the work accomplished by the teaming partners. The Government will use this information in determining its small business set-aside decision. The Government is soliciting for the award of a Firm Fixed Price contract. The contractor shall provide all personnel, supervision, and any items and services necessary to perform Medical Records Coding Auditor services at F.E. Warren AFB WY. The contractor will provide a certified Medical Records Coder who will perform outpatient medical coding education and auditing services for the 90th Medical Group. The Medical Records Coding Auditor must be accredited from a nationally recognized accrediting body such as the American Health Information Medical Association or American Academy of Professional Coders. The auditor must be a subject matter expert in medical coding and be able to provide training, feedback, guidance, and quality control to healthcare providers and staff. The Medical Records Coding Auditor must have proficient knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, pharmacology, surgical and medical procedures sufficient to accurately assign medical codes for optimum billing and Relative Value Unit generation. This acquisition will be a firm fixed price with one basic period and four option years. The Government anticipates the issuance of the Request for Quote (RFQ) on or around 10 May 2010 with a start date of 1 July 2010. Potential offerors are responsible for monitoring this site for release of the solicitation package. To be eligible for contract award, offerors must be registered in the DoD Central Contractor Registration (CCR). Register via the CCR website at http://www.ccr.gov. Contractors must also submit their representations and certifications at the Online Representations and Certifications Applications (ORCA) website at https://orca.bpn.gov. There will not be paper copies of this solicitation available. The RFP will be released using the Electronic Posting System (EPS) available at http://www.fbo.gov. All solicitation information may be obtained through the above referenced website. The Government will not reimburse any interested parties for monies spent to provide a response to the subsequent solicitation notice.
