- SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE: This notice is a request for capable sources to provide the complete array of laboratory services to Veteran patients receiving care at the VA Community Based Outpatient Clinic located in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Contractor to provide, at the contractor's facility, all necessary personnel, supervision, facilities, space, equipment and supplies to provide laboratory services for the Ft. Smith VA clinic. Special requirements include: contractor staff shall order tests through the VA computer system, collect the specimen, accession the order in the VA computer system, perform the test, enter and verify the results in the VA computer system (which will require background investigations of all staff with computer access); STAT test results must be available to the clinic physician within one (1) hour of collection; routine tests results must be available to the clinic physician within two (2) hours of collection; a phlebotomist must be available to obtain a specimen from the patient within 15 minutes of the arrival of the patient to the Ft. Smith VA clinic. Interested parties who feel capable of meeting the requirements should identify their interest and capabilities via email to laura.watts@va.gov no later than April 21, 2010, 3:00pm central time.
