- Sources Sought Notice Information Date Completed: 16-Apr-10 Agency: Air Force Material Command Location: Hill AFB OO-ALC Title: The 538 ACSG is conducting research to determine if adequate capable sources exist for tasks pertaining to the A/OA-10 Mission Planning Environment Software. Specific tasks are identified below. Description (s): THIS IS NOT A FORMAL REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. This notice is for planning purposes only and DOES NOT COMMIT the U.S. Government to provide compensation for information requested nor does it commit the U.S. Government to issue a solicitation or award a contract. This notice does not provide any direction nor does it change any contractual obligations to sources currently under contract with the U.S. Government. Scope: The Contractor shall provide services for evaluation of A-10 Suite Operational Flight Program (OFP) requirements that have an impact on A-10 mission planning software including impacts on cost, schedule and performance. The Contractor shall perform software testing to include testing in an A-10 Software Integration Laboratory (SIL). The A-10 Unique Planning Component (UPC) shall be tested with the software and hardware requirements detailed in the Suite Mission Planning Environment (MPE) letter. The contractor shall also establish activities for the maintenance of previous Suite software as needed. Background: The A-10C MPE supports the A-10 Operational Flight Program (OFP) and pilot mission planning. A-10 OFPs are planned to be released on an annual schedule. The A-10 Mission Planning software is developed by the 309th SMXG/519th MXDED and will be provided to the Contractor to perform the specific requirements of this contract. Contract Requirements: The Contractor shall accomplish all requirement gathering, tracking, and testing in accordance with the requirements of the contract. Unless otherwise noted, all requirements of the contract shall apply to the current Suite UPC integrated in its MPE, any future Suite UPC integrated in its MPE, and any maintenance activities required for the previous Suite UPC. The Contractor shall also identify any concerns, such as Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) hardware failures and design anomalies, etc. The Contractor shall agree to work with the Government and GFE suppliers to resolve issues that may arise. Instructions to Interested Sources: This Sources Sought synopsis is an invitation for all qualified sources for this requirement to identify themselves to the U.S. Government as a potential offeror. All interested sources should submit a response to the U.S. Government Contracting Primary Point of Contact listed below. Please include a statement of interest and a brief company profile highlighting relevant experience and qualifications relating to the capability to accomplish the specified work requirements. Please also note any prior experience with U.S. Government contracts. Please limit responses to no more than 10 pages. Any information provided to the U.S. Government in response to this synopsis is for planning purposes only and will not be used as a selection consideration factor in this or any other U.S. Government contract competition. Should the U.S. Government elect to pursue the subject requirement, an official Request for Proposal will be released at a later date.
