- Sole Source J&A Audio Visual System from a sole source without competition. The requirement consists of a complex installation of shared VTC codecs, audio and video switching and distribution components, cable TV distribution, networked clock components, zoned Public Address system and collaboration PCs with large format display projectors and screens. The requirement is an expansion of the Audio Visual system in connection with an expansion of the local FEMA headquarters. Maintenance is currently being provided by AVI Systems and they have advised the Government that will not be responsible for the current, existing system if another vendor integrates other components with it or adjusts it in any manner. AVI was the original installer of the existing system that is now being expanded and knows it intimately. T hey have stated in the existing maintenance agreement that: " Service, maintenance or repair shall not apply to any systems equipment if any person other than an AVI Systems, Inc technician or other person authorized by AVI Systems, Inc, without AVI Systems, Inc' consent, improperly wires, installs, repairs, modifies or adjusts such equipment or performs any maintenance service on it during the term of this Agreement."
