Description
THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. THIS OPPORTUNITY IS ONLY AVAILABLE TO CONTRACTOR UNDER W9127N-10-R-0032. THIS IS A UNITED STATES FOREST SERVICE REQUIREMENT BEING SUPPORTED BY THE US ARMY CORPS OF ENGINEERS - PORTLAND DISTRICT. THIS OPPORTUNITY IS AVAILABLE ONLY TO 8(a) CONTRACTOR: Sybrant Construction, LLC (DUNS: 829814024). This contract action will be accomplished using other than competitive procedures because a statute exists that expressly authorizes or requires it, (FAR 6.302-5) sole source awards under the 8(a) program. This requirement is for replacement of the emergency generator and flooring at the Wy'East Day Lodge, located in the Mt. Hood National Forest near historic Timberline Lodge. Work consists of replacing the existing 125kW emergency generator with a 250kW diesel generator. Providing and installing two new transfer switches and providing and installing remote alarm panels as necessary. The contractor will have to provide electrical design as necessary to connect the new generator to the existing electrical system and mechanical design to design and install a remote radiator. All work shall meet or exceed NFPA 110 and NEC requirements when applicable. This work also consists of replacement of existing carpet in the Wy'east Day Lodge with approximately 15,000 square feet of new rubberized flooring material, removing and disposing the existing carpet and providing and installing the new flooring material. All work must be completed in less then 2 months between September 6 and October 31, 2010. This work occurs in areas of eating, lounging and retail, which shall continue to operate with minimum disturbance.
