Description
Sources sought for information and planning purposes for qualified and experienced sources for a contract vehicle that provides commercial retail store services, including inventory and logistics distribution design, necessary to operate a full service walk-in retail store (Norfolk Super SERVMART), operate a mobile store(s), provide a free delivery service, and participate in the Department of Defense (DoD) E-Mall website for e-commerce ordering in Virginia's Hampton Roads area. The walk-in retail store is located on Naval Station Norfolk. The anticipated contract shall provide a simple method for authorized United States Government activities to acquire items such as office supplies/equipment, janitorial and sanitation items, industrial hardware, and galley, safety, and tactical supplies and equipment. This is in support of the Fleet and Industrial Supply Center, Norfolk, Virginia. The anticipated contract is a single award, delivery order contract, e.g., Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) type contract, with a firm fixed price (FFP) pricing arrangement. The anticipated period of performance consists of a one-year base period and four-one year option periods to commence as soon as possible. This is not a solicitation announcement for proposals and no contract will be awarded from this announcement. It is not to be construed in any way as a commitment by the Government, nor will the Government pay for the information submitted in response. For the purposes of small businesses, the NAICS Code is 452990, All Other General Merchandise Stores, and the Size Standard is $11.0M. Your response shall include the following information and can be submitted in your own format: size of company, i.e., large, small, 8(a), veteran-owned, woman-owned, etc.; number of employees; revenue for the past three (3) years; relevant past performance on same/similar work dating back five (5) years; your experience with providing services for similar retail operations and annual revenue for those operations; and your company's capability to perform the type of work required. Documentation of technical expertise must be presented in sufficient detail for the Government to determine that your company possesses the necessary functional area expertise and experience to compete for this acquisition. Standard company brochures will not be reviewed. Submissions shall not exceed two (2) standard size typewritten pages. Also, please indicate if your company can be a prime contractor and/or subcontractor for this effort. Responses should be submitted electronically to Danielle Lafferty at danielle.lafferty@navy.mil by 4:00 p.m. on 03 May 2010. Again, this is not a request for a proposal. Respondents will not be notified of the results.
