Note: This synopsis follows a Sources Sought notice that was released on December 22, 2009 under HHS-NIH-NCI-SBSS-PCPSB-5027-69 Description: The National Institutes of Health (NIH), National Cancer Institute (NCI), Division of Cancer Prevention (DCP), intends to award a contract for support of its Protocol Information Office whose mission is to facilitate the development of quality clinical trials; minimize the administrative burden related to clinical trial development, implementation and oversight; and maintain clinical trial information in the DCP database systems. The purpose of this project is to provide continued support to the NCI, DCP, Protocol Information Office (PIO) in the following project areas: 1) review and abstraction of clinical trials information, 2) clinical trials file management, 3) clinical trials review support, 4) management of organizational data, 5) PIO operational support, and 6) quality control. The proposed acquisition will be a total small business set-aside. The contract is currently held by EDJ Associates, Inc. (Contract No. HHSN261200533009C). The NAICS Code is 541611. The NCI intends to award a performance-based, cost plus fixed fee contract for a five year base period of performance, plus three one-year award term options, on or about September 30, 2010. Request for Proposal Number N02PC95027-69 will be available on or about April 15, 2010, with a due date for receipt of proposals on or about May 14, 2010. POTENTIAL OFFERORS WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR DOWNLOADING THEIR OWN COPY OF THE SOLICITATION AND AMENDMENTS.
