- This is a combined synopsis solicitation for commercial item prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only pre-solicitation notice; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation is attached. This request for quote (RFP) N00174-10-R-0021 is the only written solicitation which will be issued, unless amended. This requirement is 100% SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE.. The NAICS code is 334513.The size standard is 500 employees. The FSC code is 6636. Basic Overview of Requirement This specification covers the requirements for the manufacturing of a dual purpose environmental chamber. The chamber will be used for performing both a salt fog test and a rain test. The two types of tests are not required to run concurrently. The chamber is intended to enable the performance of salt fog and rain tests on test items within a shop environment. APPLICABLE DRAWINGS & SPECIFICATIONSThe contractor shall use the following documents and drawings as required in this SOW:ASTM B117MIL-STD-810G, Method 506.5, Procedure I and IIIANSI Z535.4 Drawing NumberDrawing NameQ101-BFirst Floor Equipment Plan, Area B On-site training will be scheduled after installation, to include 5 people for one, 8-hour day IF INTERESTED, PLEASE DOWNLOAD THIS SOLITATION. Copies of solicitation N00174-10-R-0021 will NOT be emailed, faxed, mailed or provided in person. These types of request WILL NOT BE ACKNOWLEDGED. This combined synopsis/solicitation is being posted to both Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.eps.gov and Navy Electronic Commerce On-Line (NECO) site located at http://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopses and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative case FBO is unavailable. NOTE: Offerors are ineligible for award unless registered in DOD's Central Contractor Registration Database. The deadline for quotes in response solicitation is 18-May-2010 4:00 PM EST.
