Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice and in accordance with the simplified acquisition procedures authorized in FAR Part 13. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The office of NOAA National Marine Mammal Laboratory and Southwest Fisheries Science Center intends to acquire the following items: 1. Qty of 12 Each Wildlife Computers, Inc. SPLASH ( including 2X AA oval 2x slopped, flat bottom, 200m) 2. Qty of 25 Each Wildlife Computers, Inc. SPOT5 (including 2xM3 Stacked Flipper) 3. Qty of 10 Each Wildlife Computers, Inc. WC-MK10 Satellite "Pop-Up" Tag (including 1x2/3 AA, Fast Therm, stranded MEM antenna) Items 1&2 are to be shipped to NMML Facility located in Seattle, WA 98112 for delivery no later than June 1, 2010 and item#3 to be shipped to NMFS La Jolla, CA 92037 no later than May 12, 2010. These tags are similar in design and function to satellite tags used in previous and ongoing studies of both program offices. These tags will be used for the purpose of comparing data and results with previous research studies. This procurement is 100% set aside for small business concerns under the North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) 334511 with a small business size standard of 750 employees. The government intends to issue a firm- fixed contract. All interested parties must respond to this announcement within fifteen (15) calendar days of its publication. Only firms that can provide the exact Wildlife Computers, Inc. supplies described herein will be considered.
