- Description
- The purpose of this notice is to announce that the Southwest Regional Maintenance Center San Diego will be issuing a solicitation for the FY-10 LCAC SLEP to be performed at U.S. Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, CA at Assault Craft Unit 5 or at the contractor's facility. Work to be accomplished on LCACs 63, 72, and 74. NAICS code 336611 applies. This is an Unrestricted Procurement. Contact the procuring contracts specialist for inspection dates/location and contract dates. The LCAC SLEP will extend the service life of LCAC from 20 to 30 years, sustain/enhance craft capability, replace obsolete electronics, repair corrosion damage, reduce life cycle cost by improving reliability and maintainability, increase survivability, and establish a common configuration baseline. The LCAC SLEP scope of effort includes repair and upgrade of the buoyancy box, gas turbine engine replacement, installation of a new skirt, installation of an integrated C4N equipment package, and accomplishment of selected craft alterations and repair work. The SLEP effort is to be performed in accordance with Government prepared specifications, drawings, work item descriptions. Offerors are not restricted to Master Ship Repair Agreement or Agreement for Boat Repair holders. The Government intends to award a firm-fixed price contract for the SLEP of two LCACs, 63 and 72, with the option of one additional LCAC 74.
