- Description
- This requirement is a SET ASIDE for SERVICE-DISABLED VETERAN-OWNED SMALL BUSINESS. The NAICS code for this requirement is 237990. The Product Service Codes is Y299. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Hurricane Protection Office (HPO) is seeking firms for the requirement entitled HPO, LPV 110, CSX Railroad Gate, New Orleans East Levee Enlargement, Orleans Parish, Louisiana. The estimated magnitude of the construction project cost is between $5,000,000.00 and $10,000,000.00. Work includes demolition of the existing gate and reconstruction of a new higher and wider gate at the same location as the existing gate. New work will include the fabrication of a steel swing gate as well as approximately 250 linear feet of pile founded T-wall. The project location is approximately one mile south of U.S. Highway 90. Access to the project location is via U.S. Highway 90, approximately one mile to the north and via Industrial Parkway and along the protected side of the levee adjacent to the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway to the west. The contractor will be required to coordinate with CSX for all pertinent safety and scheduling requirements specific to the railroad. This will be an Invitation for Bid (IFB) solicitation that will result in one (1) firm-fixed price construction contract to the responsible contractor whose bid meets the requirements and is responsive to the solicitation.
